Welcome to

Siyabulela Pre Primary

Siyabulela Pre-Primary was established in 2002 to supply in the demand of Early Childhood Development Centres in Kleinmond. The school opened its doors for 35 children which were accommodated in one classroom with only one teacher.

Today, 20 years later, we have 140 learners enrolled between the age of 2 and half and 6 years. Our children receive education in their mother tongue (Afrikaans and isiXhosa). We provide our learners with breakfast and lunch on a daily basis to ensure that our learners have a healthy body and mind.

Siyabulela Pre-Primary is proud to serve the low-socio economic communities of Proteadorp and Overhills informal settlement in Kleinmond by providing the children a safe environment and to teach them early childhood development skills.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.                                                   –  Nelson Mandela –

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Early childhood development (ECD) refers to the physical, psychological, cognitive and social development that a child experiences between birth and school-going age.

Based on various scientific studies, we know that early childhood development plays a key role in determining whether a child will reach his or her full potential. The events that occur during the early years of childhood have a lasting impact, and will affect a child’s growth and development throughout his or her life.

Siyabulela Pre-Primary focuses on building a strong foundation in early childhood. By providing appropriate care and affection, and by creating sufficient opportunities for learning we strive to develop children to their full potential. This, in turn, will help to break the cycle of poverty, reduce social inequality, and increase economic activity.
