About
About Our SchoolSiyabulela Pre-Primary was established in 2002 to supply in the demand of Early Childhood Development Centres in Kleinmond. The school opened its doors for 35 children who were accommodated in one classroom with only one teacher.
Today, we have 140 learners enrolled between the age of 2 and half and 6 years. Our children receive education in their mother tongue (Afrikaans and isiXhosa). We provide our learners with breakfast and lunch on a daily basis to ensure that our learners have a healthy body and mind.
Siyabulela Pre-Primary is proud to serve the low-socio economic communities of Proteadorp and Overhills informal settlement in Kleinmond by providing the children a safe environment and to teach them early childhood development skills.
Registration and Programme:
Our school is registered at the Department of Social Development, that has now migrated to the Department of Basic Education (C7414) and we follow an Educational Programme that is also registered. Due to the fact that Kleinmond cannot supply in the increasing demand of Grade R classes, Siyabulela registered two classes with the Western Cape Education Department. These 60 learners follow the prescribed CAPS, RMaths and Home Language curriculum by the Department.
Our Staff:
Our teaching staff consists of 6 teachers with ECD level 4/5 qualifications, a principal with a B.Ed Degree and currently we also have a classroom assistant. The supporting staff consists of a Cleaner and a Cook.
