Get InvolvedDue to the fact that we provide this service to the low-economic communities in Kleinmond, our school fees amount to R500 per month including the meals. A high percentage of our parents only receive a Child Support Grant of R560 per month as income, therefore they struggle to pay school fees and to make ends meet.
Siyabulela Pre-Primary currently receives a subsidy from the Department of Education. This only covers 45% of the monthly expenses. Due to these monthly shortages we are forced to do fundraising events and we are dependent on donations.
We strive to give the best we can for our children to create a magical space where they can play, learn and grow. To accomplish this we need the necessary funding each year. This is where you come in.
How can i help?
- By sponsoring a child’s school fees
- Donating towards a project on our wishlist
- Donating towards food or running costs.
Our Wishlist:
- Phase 2 of our Grade R playground (R285 400).
- New see saws for our other playground (R7 600).
- Aluminium window frames to replace the old wooden frames (R37 000).
- Puzzles and house corner furniture for our 3-5 year classes.
- Small toilet for 3-4 year class.
- Second hand items for our shop (old bedding, towels, kitchenware, clothes etc.)
- Mural for Grade R classrooms’ wall (still need R10 0000).
- Mud kitchen for outside play area (still need around R5 000).
